Grosvenor House Hotel Installs PEL BB06 Glass Bottle Crusher

PEL Waste Reduction Equipment is delighted to announce that the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel in London is the latest five star hotel to choose a PEL bottle crusher for managing their waste glass bottles.  

The Grosvenor House Hotel off Park Lane in London generates approximately 40,000 empty glass bottles of all shapes and sizes every week.  Managing this huge quantity of glass is a major problem for the hotel both in terms in staff to handle the waste glass and space to store the empty bottles.  The solution to both these problems has been to install a PEL BB06 ‘Mega Jaws’ glass bottle crusher.  The ‘Mega Jaws’ bottle crusher reduces the volume of an empty glass bottle by a factor of 5:1 or 80% dramatically reducing the handling and storage costs associated with that bottle. Additionally, the machine allows staff to spend more time serving customers, spend less time moving empty bottle bins and the hotel management to reduce space allocated to empty glass bottle handling and storage.  An additional benefit for the Grosvenor House Hotel is the glass cullet being fully recyclable; reducing the cost of its disposal for the business.
